Section 2257 and 2257A Statement

Last updated: October 10, 2026

AI Chat Media LLC, a New Jersey limited liability company, operates MirrorChats at https://www.mirrorchats.com. This statement addresses federal performer-recordkeeping requirements for MirrorChats content.

Our current character-generation features use typed descriptions and AI-generated base images or frames to create images and short videos intended to depict fictional adults. For wholly synthetic images and videos that do not depict actual human beings or incorporate images of actual people, the performer-recordkeeping and records-location requirements of 18 U.S.C. §§ 2257 and 2257A and 28 C.F.R. Part 75 do not apply. Text-only chats are outside these visual-depiction recordkeeping requirements.

The 21 characters adopted from the former creator program were created with MirrorChats’ generation tools without uploaded photos and remain available as site characters. Earlier uploaded material has been quarantined and remains subject to our reporting and removal procedures. This statement does not claim an exemption for historical user uploads or for digitally altered imagery of an actual person merely because it is labeled “AI-generated.”

An ordinary non-explicit portrait does not itself trigger these requirements. For material involving actual people, applicability depends on the depiction, its source and date, and our role in producing, selecting, altering, or managing it. Simulated sexually explicit conduct involving actual people can require performer records.

User age-verification results, AI-generation logs, and restricted safety evidence are not substitutes for statutory performer records. This statement is limited to the scope described above and is not a statutory records-location notice for covered real-person material.
