Legal / Reporting, Removal, and Appeals Notice
Last updated: October 6, 2026
AI Chat Media LLC, a New Jersey limited liability company (“we,” “us,” or “our”), operates MirrorChats at https://www.mirrorchats.com. This notice explains how to report content, request removal, challenge a decision, or reach us about a privacy request. Read it with section 8 of our Terms of Service at https://www.mirrorchats.com/terms, our Content Standards and Moderation Policy, and our Copyright and DMCA Policy.
Anyone may use these channels without an account, a purchase, or a lawyer, including someone depicted in content, a rights owner, an authorized representative, or a person who cannot sign in. Reports can concern private generated material, platform-provided content, characters, earlier uploaded avatars, or other material remaining from retired features. The applicable process depends on the concern; not every report is a copyright or intimate-imagery removal request.
Use the public form at https://www.mirrorchats.com/legal/takedown, email support@mirrorchats.com, or use an available report control beside a message, image, video, or character. The public form remains available if your account is locked. Choose the category that best fits: intimate imagery, copyright, illegal content, an appeal, a personal-data request, or another concern. For a copyright counter-notice, identify it as such in the form or email. If more than one category applies, explain each concern; we shall assess it under the relevant standards.
Provide a URL if you have one. If the material is private or has no public URL, identify its location as best you can, such as the character, conversation, message, account email, or approximate date and time. Explain the problem and what action you request. Include only the information needed to locate the material, assess the concern, and reply. Section 3 explains intimate-imagery removal requests. Copyright notices and counter-notices follow our separate Copyright and DMCA Policy, described in section 4.
Do not send passwords, full payment-card details, unnecessary identity documents, or unrelated private information. Do not download, copy, forward, or attach suspected child sexual abuse material or other underlying unlawful media. Identify its location and describe the concern instead. You do not need to obtain someone else’s private content to make a report.
Requests through the public form receive a case reference and an email receipt using the contact information supplied. Keep the reference. You can use the page’s status-check function with your case number and the email used for the request, or email us to ask for an update. A case reference helps us follow up, but is not required if you do not have it.
If you or someone else is in immediate danger, contact local emergency services. We currently check the reports and flags queue daily; this is not continuous monitoring or an emergency response service. Urgent safety risks and legal deadlines take priority over our ordinary response aim.
You may report suspected child sexual exploitation, underage access, threats, trafficking, nonconsensual content, impersonation, fraud, infringement, harmful AI output, misleading AI identity claims, failed safeguards, or another violation of our rules. You may also report an incorrect automated block. You do not need to know whether a concern is unlawful to ask us to review it.
For a formal notice alleging illegal content, include:
You can use: “I believe in good faith that the information and allegations in this report are accurate and complete.” Other good-faith complaints do not require copyright statements under penalty of perjury. If information is genuinely missing, we shall explain what is needed and request only information proportionate to locating the content or assessing the concern. An incomplete formal notice does not prevent us from reviewing a safety concern or taking action otherwise required by law.
Reports about a real person’s likeness, privacy, or other rights are accepted even if they do not qualify as a copyright notice or intimate-imagery request. Purely fictional adult content does not necessarily depict a real complainant, but it remains subject to our content rules.
If an image or video on MirrorChats shows you nude, partially nude, or in a sexual way without your consent to its presence here, you or a person authorized to act for you may request removal. This includes a digital forgery made or altered to look like you, including AI-generated material. Consent to creating an image is not automatically consent to its availability on MirrorChats. You do not need to own its copyright.
Submit a written request through the public form or email in section 1 containing:
For example: “I am the person depicted, or I am authorized to act for that person. I believe in good faith that the identified intimate image or video was made available on MirrorChats without that person’s consent. I request its removal.” Add relevant locating information, your contact details, and your signature. You do not need a police report, court order, lawyer, or account, and do not have to complete another complaint process first.
For a valid request, we shall remove the reported image or video as soon as possible and no later than 48 hours after receipt. Within that period, we shall also make reasonable efforts to identify and remove known identical copies on MirrorChats. You do not have to locate every identical copy. This commitment applies regardless of your country or account status and covers qualifying material present in private areas as well as material publicly accessible through MirrorChats.
The TAKE IT DOWN Act requires this notice-and-removal process for depictions and platforms within its scope. Our commitment above also applies where it is broader than that statutory duty. You do not need to establish a criminal offense to make a request under this notice.
If a required element is missing, we shall tell you what is needed without undue delay and review any immediate safety concern while you supply it. We shall not delay action on an otherwise valid request merely to obtain unnecessary proof. We may restrict access while assessing a report, and applicable duties to act on known unlawful material still apply. The five-business-day content-complaint deadline does not extend the 48-hour deadline.
We shall give you a written outcome or explain a decision not to act and how to appeal. Removal must address access through known MirrorChats references and delivery caches, as applicable; keeping a restricted evidence copy does not permit continued user access. We cannot remove copies held independently on another service or someone’s device. If you find a remaining MirrorChats copy or a new version, report its location using the case reference if available. A copyright counter-notice does not require restoration of material that is independently prohibited as nonconsensual or unlawful.
We shall review a depicted person’s consent concern promptly and remove the content immediately if appropriate consent cannot be established or is invalid under applicable law. If we disagree that the consent is invalid, we shall allow that dispute to be resolved by a neutral body at our expense. This route does not delay required removal or limit your rights to contact a regulator or seek another lawful remedy.
Our Copyright and DMCA Policy sets out the requirements for copyright infringement notices and counter-notices, our review and forwarding procedures, the 10–14-business-day restoration process, repeat-infringer termination, and liability for knowingly material misrepresentations. Use the same public form at https://www.mirrorchats.com/legal/takedown or email support@mirrorchats.com. Identify your submission as a “Copyright notice” or “Copyright counter-notice.” Our copyright reporting contact is AI Chat Media LLC at the address in section 9.
An ordinary moderation appeal does not replace a copyright counter-notice or shorten its response period. A counter-notice does not replace an appeal about an independent restriction or require restoration of unlawful content, nonconsensual intimate imagery, or material independently prohibited by our rules. If your report concerns both copyright and another issue, explain each concern; we shall assess each applicable ground.
Report suspected child sexual abuse or exploitation, grooming, child sex trafficking, or underage access through section 1. Identify the location and necessary context without obtaining or attaching the underlying unlawful media. You may report these concerns even if you are under 18; reporting does not authorize use of adult features.
Our rules prohibit sexual depictions of minors, including synthetic depictions. A prohibited fictional request, an innocent reference to a minor, or an automated filter hit does not by itself establish a crime or a reporting duty. We shall assess the relevant facts through human review. When we obtain actual knowledge of facts showing an apparent violation that must be reported, we shall report to NCMEC’s CyberTipline as soon as reasonably possible, including legally reportable child sexual abuse material, child sex trafficking, and online enticement. We shall also report to other competent authorities when required by applicable law.
We shall promptly restrict access to material reasonably believed to be unlawful while it is assessed and remove unlawful material as required. Restrictions and removals must address known service references and delivery caches, as applicable, including where an asset is shared across accounts. A preservation failure does not justify leaving suspected unlawful material available to users.
We shall securely preserve report contents and reasonably accessible context required by law, limit access to authorized people who need it, and apply required security safeguards. CyberTipline report contents and required related material generally must be preserved for one year after submission; longer lawful preservation may apply. Context retained with a report is not necessarily unlawful. The Content Standards and Moderation Policy explains our broader child-safety and enforcement rules.
A person reviews reports and requests; the outcome is not based solely on automation. Automatic filters may block delivery or freeze a chat before review. Human review of a report does not mean that every generated image, video, or message was individually reviewed before delivery.
We shall acknowledge an illegal-content notice with electronic contact details without undue delay and notify the reporter of our decision without undue delay, including available redress. We shall review and resolve complaints about illegal content or content that violates our rules or applicable payment-network requirements within five business days after receipt. Within that period, we shall decide whether to remove, restrict, or retain the reported content and communicate our decision and available appeal route using the contact information supplied. If our review reveals evidence that content is unlawful, we shall remove it immediately and notify our acquiring bank as required by applicable payment-network rules.
For other reports, we aim to answer within seven calendar days. Urgent safety risks and earlier legal deadlines take priority; neither period permits us to wait before required action. Valid intimate-imagery requests have the 48-hour deadline in section 3. Copyright notices require expeditious action, and copyright counter-notices have the separate periods in the Copyright and DMCA Policy. Appeals and external proceedings may continue after the initial complaint decision. Privacy requests follow the Privacy Policy’s periods. Business days are Monday through Friday, excluding US federal holidays.
We shall assess concerns diligently, objectively, and proportionately, considering the content, context, evidence, seriousness, repeated conduct, and affected people’s rights and safety. We may restrict access during review, decline a content request, remove material, restrict a feature, freeze a chat, or suspend or terminate an account when reasonably necessary. Serious risks can require action without a prior warning.
Unless disclosure is legally prohibited or would compromise safety, required reporting, or an investigation, we shall explain a content removal or account restriction when it is imposed and provide an appeal route. The explanation will identify the action, relevant content and facts, the rule or legal basis, whether automated detection or decision-making was involved, and, where relevant, the restriction’s scope and duration. If we decide not to act on a report, we shall explain why using the contact information available.
You must not knowingly fabricate a report, impersonate an affected person, or use these channels to harass someone or suppress lawful material. We may restrict serious or repeated abuse after reviewing the evidence and giving reasons and an opportunity to appeal where permitted. An honest mistake, seeking help, or disagreement with a decision is not report abuse.
You may appeal a content or account decision, including an age or location restriction or a decision not to act on your report, free of charge within six months after we notify you. Use https://www.mirrorchats.com/legal/takedown or support@mirrorchats.com, including if you cannot sign in. Identify the decision, provide the case reference if available, and explain the error or relevant new information. No account or lawyer is required.
A human reviewer will assess the appeal and provide a written outcome with reasons. The appeal outcome will not be based solely on automation. We aim to respond within seven calendar days and shall handle appeals without undue delay, with urgent risks and legal deadlines taking priority. If we made a mistake, we shall correct it without undue delay. A necessary safety restriction may remain during review; an appeal does not require restoration of unlawful content or override an applicable age or geographic restriction.
You retain applicable rights to complain to a regulator, use an available out-of-court dispute process, or seek judicial or other lawful remedies. Where the EU Digital Services Act gives you access to a certified out-of-court dispute settlement body, that route remains available, and we shall cooperate as that law requires. These rights do not depend on first exhausting our internal appeal process. This notice does not restrict contact with authorities or waive mandatory rights.
You may report a covered platform’s failure to follow the TAKE IT DOWN Act to the Federal Trade Commission at https://takeitdown.ftc.gov. EU users may contact their Digital Services Coordinator about a DSA breach. The European Commission’s list of certified bodies identifies out-of-court options, including their languages and scope.
For access, correction, deletion, a copy of your information, objection, withdrawal of consent, review of an automated privacy decision, or a privacy complaint or appeal, use the same public form or email. The Privacy Policy at https://www.mirrorchats.com/privacy governs those requests, verification, response periods, and applicable rights. Its privacy-appeal process is separate from the six-month content-appeal period in section 7.
Reporting and review can require use of your contact information, statements, relevant content, and account records. We may disclose necessary information to authorized providers, advisers, authorities, or affected people where lawful and needed for the request, required reporting, or a legal matter. A valid copyright counter-notice is forwarded with its contact details. We shall limit other disclosures to what is necessary and assess privacy and safety risks; do not include unrelated private information. The Privacy Policy explains processing, recipients, retention, and rights.
Removal from ordinary use can be separate from retention of a restricted evidence copy. Account deletion does not reach every generated item, provider copy, or retained record. You can request removal of private or identifying generated media and review of a hold through these channels without regaining account access. A lawful hold covers only the information and time necessary for its purpose; it does not require continued payment or remove privacy rights concerning unrelated information. Billing and refund rights remain governed by the Terms of Service and Subscription, Cancellation, Refund, and Credits Policy.
