Copyright and DMCA Policy

Last updated: October 6, 2026

AI Chat Media LLC, a New Jersey limited liability company (“we,” “us,” or “our”), operates MirrorChats at https://www.mirrorchats.com. This policy explains how to report copyright infringement under the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA), submit a counter-notice, and obtain review of a copyright-related restriction. Read it with section 8 of our Terms of Service at https://www.mirrorchats.com/terms and our Reporting, Removal, and Appeals Notice.

No account, purchase, or lawyer is required. Reports may concern platform-provided material, private generated content, characters, earlier uploaded avatars, or other material from retired features. AI does not eliminate others’ rights. This process does not determine an output’s copyrightability or establish DMCA protection for a particular activity.

1. Where to send copyright correspondence

Use the public form at https://www.mirrorchats.com/legal/takedown or email support@mirrorchats.com. You may also send written correspondence to our copyright reporting contact:

AI Chat Media LLC
971 US Highway 202N Ste N
Branchburg, NJ 08876, USA

Copyright notices and counter-notices: support@mirrorchats.com

Public request form: https://www.mirrorchats.com/legal/takedown

Identify your submission as a “Copyright notice” or “Copyright counter-notice.” Form requests receive a case reference and an email receipt. Use the reference and your email address to check status on the page, or email us for an update. No existing reference is required to submit a request.

Provide a URL or enough information to locate private material, such as the character, conversation, message, account email, or approximate date and time. Do not send passwords, full payment-card details, unnecessary identity documents, or unrelated private information. Do not obtain or attach suspected child sexual abuse material or other unlawful media; identify its location and describe the concern instead.

2. Copyright infringement notices

A copyright owner or authorized representative may send a written infringement notice through the channels in section 1. Include:

  • A physical or electronic signature of the owner or a person authorized to act for the owner. A typed name is accepted.
  • Identification of the copyrighted work you believe has been infringed. If the notice covers multiple works at a single online site, you may provide a representative list of those works.
  • Identification of the material you want removed or disabled and information reasonably sufficient to locate it on MirrorChats, such as a URL or specific service location.
  • Contact information reasonably sufficient for us to reach you, such as your mailing address, telephone number, and email address if available.
  • A statement that you believe in good faith that the complained-of use is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law.
  • A statement that the information in the notice is accurate and, under penalty of perjury, that you are authorized to act for the owner of the exclusive right allegedly infringed.

Before submitting a notice, consider whether permission or a legal exception, such as fair use, permits the complained-of use. A copyright complaint must identify the allegedly infringing use; disagreement with a character or a resemblance alone does not establish copyright infringement.

We shall review notices promptly and act expeditiously to remove or disable access where required. If a notice lacks necessary information, we shall promptly identify the missing information and take reasonable steps to help you complete it. When we remove or disable material following a copyright notice, we shall take reasonable steps promptly to notify the person who supplied it. We may provide the relevant notice or information needed to respond, subject to lawful privacy and safety restrictions. A complete counter-notice is forwarded as described in section 3; copyright proceedings are not wholly anonymous or confidential.

3. Copyright counter-notices

If material you submitted was removed or disabled following a copyright complaint and you believe that resulted from mistake or misidentification, you may submit a written counter-notice through the same form or email. Identify it as a “Copyright counter-notice” and include:

  • Your physical or electronic signature. A typed name is accepted.
  • Identification of the removed or disabled material and the location where it appeared before removal or disabling.
  • A statement under penalty of perjury that you believe in good faith that the removal or disabling resulted from mistake or misidentification of the material.
  • Your name, address, and telephone number; a statement consenting to the jurisdiction of the US federal district court for the judicial district where your address is located, or, if your address is outside the United States, a US federal judicial district where AI Chat Media LLC may be found; and a statement that you will accept service of process from the person who submitted the copyright notice or that person’s agent.

For a non-US address, the federal district where we are located is the District of New Jersey. You may include an email address for our response, but it does not replace the required name, address, and telephone number.

We shall promptly forward a valid counter-notice to the original complainant, including the contact information it contains, and inform the complainant of the proposed restoration after 10 business days. We may restore the material between 10 and 14 business days after receiving the valid counter-notice unless the complainant first notifies us that it has filed a court action seeking to restrain the alleged infringement. We shall follow the statutory notice and restoration requirements where they apply.

A separate violation of our Terms or content rules, unlawful content, nonconsensual intimate imagery, or another independent legal restriction can prevent restoration. We shall explain a continuing restriction and the available review route unless disclosure is prohibited or would compromise safety, required reporting, or an investigation. Restoration is not a decision that copyright was or was not infringed.

An ordinary moderation appeal does not replace a copyright counter-notice or shorten its response period. A counter-notice also does not replace an appeal about an independent restriction. Neither process prevents a party from seeking an available lawful remedy.

4. Repeat infringement and false statements

We shall terminate repeat infringers’ accounts in appropriate circumstances under the Terms of Service.

Knowingly making a material misrepresentation that content is infringing, or that it was removed or disabled by mistake or misidentification, can create liability for resulting damages, costs, and attorneys’ fees. An honest mistake or a good-faith disagreement is not by itself a knowingly false notice. You must not fabricate a notice, impersonate a rights owner, or use this process to harass someone or suppress lawful material.

5. Other concerns, appeals, and personal information

For intimate imagery, child safety, other content concerns, or an appeal about an independent restriction, follow the Reporting, Removal, and Appeals Notice through the same form or email. You may identify multiple grounds in one report. The copyright process cannot extend a valid intimate-imagery request’s 48-hour removal deadline. That notice provides free content and account appeals within six months after notification, human review, and written reasons. An appeal does not replace a counter-notice.

Copyright review may require use of your contact information, statements, relevant material, and account records, and lawful disclosure to affected parties, authorized providers, advisers, or authorities. A valid counter-notice is forwarded with its personal contact details. We shall limit other disclosures to what is necessary and assess privacy and safety risks. Do not include unrelated personal information. Copyright proceedings are not wholly anonymous or confidential.

Our Privacy Policy at https://www.mirrorchats.com/privacy governs personal-data processing, retention, and privacy requests. Removal from ordinary use does not require destruction of a restricted evidence copy that must lawfully be retained. Any hold must be limited to the information and period necessary for its purpose and does not remove privacy rights concerning unrelated information.

6. Changes and applicable rights

We may update this policy as our processes change. Material changes remain subject to the Terms of Service’s notice and affirmative-acceptance requirements. Posting a revision or continued use alone does not establish acceptance of a material change. A revision cannot retroactively remove accrued rights or override a more favorable commitment without a lawful agreement. Mandatory legal rights take priority over a conflicting restriction in this policy.
