Content Standards and Moderation Policy

Last updated: October 10, 2026

This policy explains the content allowed on MirrorChats, how we moderate it, and how to report a concern, request removal, or appeal a decision. AI Chat Media LLC, a New Jersey limited liability company (“we,” “us,” or “our”), operates MirrorChats at https://www.mirrorchats.com. Read this policy with our Terms of Service at https://www.mirrorchats.com/terms. Mandatory legal rights and more favorable commitments you already have take priority over a conflicting restriction.

1. Scope and adult access

MirrorChats provides entertainment through fictional adult AI characters, text chats, generated photos and short videos, the video-call feature where available, and private characters created from typed descriptions. Video calls present AI-generated video, not a live connection to a person, and never access your camera or microphone. User file uploads, human-to-human messaging, voice calls, the creator program, and creator payouts are disabled or retired. Earlier uploaded material has been quarantined and remains covered by these reporting and removal procedures.

You must be at least 18, have reached the age of majority where you live, and meet the eligibility requirements in the Terms of Service. You must not let a minor use your account. Sensitive images and videos are filtered by default for ordinary new accounts. Depending on your location, access requires adult confirmation or age verification, or is unavailable. Explicit text is separately restricted where required; it may remain available to eligible adult users where only images and videos require verification. The Age Assurance and Biometric Privacy Notice explains the current distinctions. A paid plan does not override an access restriction or permit prohibited content.

These standards apply to ordinary chats, video-call messages and actions, prompts, character names and descriptions, profiles, images, videos, and other content used or made available through MirrorChats. They cover content attributed to our characters and retained material from retired features. A private chat, fictional setting, roleplay, cartoon, joke, or hypothetical does not exempt prohibited content.

2. Prohibited content

You must not request, create, configure, use, or distribute the following content through MirrorChats. Some restrictions are service rules that go beyond what the law prohibits.

2.1. Minors and sexual exploitation

All characters must be clearly adult and at least 18. Sexual content must not involve anyone who is under 18, appears under 18, or is described or implied to be under 18. Sexual age-play, grooming, child sexual abuse material, and sexual exploitation of children are prohibited. Stating an adult age does not make a childlike depiction acceptable. This restriction includes simulated and AI-generated depictions.

2.2. Nonconsensual and other prohibited scenarios

The following are prohibited in text and media, including fictional or simulated scenarios:

  • Nonconsensual sexual activity, coercion, or sexual violence, including activity involving sleep, unconsciousness, intoxication, drugging, hypnosis, or “consensual nonconsent.”
  • Incest or sexual scenarios involving relatives or step-relatives; sexual contact with animals; or animal cruelty.
  • Urine, feces, or vomit in sexual scenarios; blood, gore, serious injury, corpses, or necrophilia.
  • Violence, abduction, kidnapping, torture, strangulation, killing, or snuff scenarios.
  • Prostitution, escorting, sex for payment, or polygamy and multiple-spouse sexual scenarios.

2.3. Real people and third party rights

You must not create sexual or other impersonations of real, identifiable people, living or deceased, including celebrities, public figures, adult performers, or private individuals. Do not supply a real person’s name, likeness, or identifying characteristics to create such a depiction, even if you claim consent. Unauthorized deepfake images and videos are prohibited. A resemblance to a real person does not make generated content permissible; report it for review.

You must have the rights needed to use material you submit and must not infringe copyright, trademarks, privacy, publicity, or other rights. Our media rules also prohibit requests for third-party brands, logos, designer labels, or team marks in generated media. Do not include another person’s confidential information or use identifying details to create an unauthorized depiction.

2.4. Threats and harmful uses

Hate speech, threats, harassment, fraud, illegal instructions, weapons-construction instructions, and other unlawful content are prohibited. You must not use MirrorChats to promote or encourage suicide, self-harm, sexual exploitation, or violence, or to obtain professional medical, mental-health, legal, financial, or gambling advice. Characters are AI entertainment and cannot provide professional care or emergency assistance.

2.5. Safety reports and context

These rules do not prohibit a good-faith safety report, a description needed to seek help, a lawful rights request, or an innocent contextual reference. Automated checks can misunderstand context. A word, a filter hit, or a mention of a minor is not by itself proof of wrongdoing or a reportable crime. Do not attach underlying unlawful images or videos to a report.

3. Do not bypass controls or misrepresent content

You must not bypass moderation, age, geographic, payment, or access restrictions; use another person’s identity or false location; or obtain another user’s private material. A direct media link does not authorize access that would otherwise be restricted. You must not remove or alter AI or provenance labels to deceive others, or falsely present synthetic content as authentic material depicting a real person.

General account, payment, scraping, security, automation, and AI-training restrictions appear in the Terms of Service. A character’s reply cannot waive those rules, approve prohibited conduct, or authorize a charge.

4. How moderation currently works

We use model instructions, automated checks of requests and proposed media, checks of generated replies, age and appearance constraints, character-creation checks, provider moderation, and human review of selected content. These controls also apply to video-call requests. Automated systems can refuse delivery, replace a reply, freeze a chat, or flag material for review. Current media generation limits scenes to the selected fictional character and supported settings. Character creation requires acceptance of the current Terms and screening for real, identifiable people; creation is refused if that screening cannot run.

A person reviews and approves media that we upload to a character’s library before delivery. On-demand images and videos, including video-call actions, receive automated filters and provider moderation before delivery. They are automatically added to the character’s library as approved and may later be delivered to other users chatting with that character before human review. A person reviews them afterwards and removes problematic content. Flags and reports enter a review queue. We check that queue daily, and a person handles reports and appeals. This is not continuous human monitoring or an emergency response service.

Checks can miss prohibited content or block innocent content. We do not guarantee that every output is lawful, accurate, fictional in every respect, or free of third-party rights. Not every media item carries a synthetic-content marker. A delivered output is not confirmation that the request complied with our rules. Stop using content you reasonably believe is unlawful and report its location. Do not download, copy, or send suspected child sexual abuse material.

You can report an incorrect block, harmful output, misleading claim about a character’s AI identity, or failure of an age or access control through section 5. If you or someone else is in immediate danger, contact local emergency services; do not wait for our review.

5. How to report a concern

Use the available report control beside a message, image, video, or character; the public form at https://www.mirrorchats.com/legal/takedown; or support@mirrorchats.com. The public form is available without an account, including if your account is locked. You do not need a lawyer or a purchase to report a concern.

Identify the content’s URL or its location in the service, such as the character, conversation, message, or approximate time. Explain what concerns you and include enough relevant context for review. For a formal illegal-content notice, include your name and email and a good-faith statement that your information and allegations are accurate and complete. You do not need to cite a statute. We shall not reject a report of suspected child sexual abuse or exploitation solely because it lacks your name or contact details, although contact information helps us reply.

Do not send your password, full payment-card details, unnecessary private information, or a copy of suspected unlawful media. A location and description are sufficient to bring the concern to our attention. Section 6 explains the additional requirements for an intimate-imagery removal request; copyright requests follow section 8 of the Terms of Service.

Requests through the public form receive a case reference and a written outcome using the contact details provided. We shall acknowledge an illegal-content notice with electronic contact details without undue delay. We shall review and resolve complaints about illegal content or content that violates our rules or applicable payment-network requirements within five business days after receipt, including communicating our decision and appeal route using the contact information supplied. Business days are Monday through Friday, excluding US federal holidays. We aim to answer other reports within seven calendar days. Urgent safety risks and earlier removal and legal deadlines take priority. Appeals and privacy requests follow their separate procedures in the Reporting, Removal, and Appeals Notice and Privacy Policy. We may request information needed to locate content or assess a request and shall explain what is missing.

6. Intimate imagery and digital forgery removal

If an image or video on MirrorChats shows you nude, partially nude, or in a sexual way without your consent to its presence here, you or an authorized representative may request removal through the public form or email above. This includes a digital forgery made or altered to look like you. Consent to creating an image is not automatically consent to its use on MirrorChats.

Submit a written request containing:

  • Your physical or electronic signature, or the signature of the person authorized to act for you. You may type your name as an electronic signature.
  • Identification of the image or video and information reasonably sufficient to locate it, such as its URL, character, or conversation location.
  • A brief statement that you believe in good faith that the intimate imagery is nonconsensual, with relevant information explaining that it was made available here without your consent.
  • Contact information sufficient for us to respond to you or your authorized representative.

For a valid request, we shall remove the reported content as soon as possible and no later than 48 hours after receipt. Within that period, we shall also make reasonable efforts to find and remove known identical copies on MirrorChats. You do not have to identify every identical copy. This commitment is not limited to a particular country or to people with an account.

We shall tell you the outcome or explain a decision not to act and the available appeal route. We may restrict access while assessing a report. A valid removal request does not depend on a police report, court order, or exhaustion of another complaint process. These commitments concern material on MirrorChats; we cannot remove copies held independently on another service or a person’s device.

7. Child safety and unlawful material

Report suspected child sexual abuse or exploitation, grooming, trafficking, or underage access through section 5. Identify the location and necessary context without copying or attaching the underlying media. Our rules prohibit sexual depictions of minors even when synthetic; whether a particular item or request is criminal or legally reportable requires assessment of the facts and applicable law.

When we obtain actual knowledge of facts showing an apparent violation that must be reported, we shall report to NCMEC’s CyberTipline as soon as reasonably possible. This includes legally reportable child sexual abuse material, child sex trafficking, and online enticement. We shall also make reports to other competent authorities when required by applicable law. An automatic flag or fictional prohibited prompt alone does not establish that a mandatory reporting duty has arisen.

We shall promptly restrict access to material reasonably believed to be unlawful while it is assessed and remove unlawful material as required. Restrictions and removals must address access through known service references and delivery caches, as applicable. Evidence preservation must not leave suspected unlawful material available to users; a preservation failure does not justify keeping a public copy accessible. This applies even if an asset is shared by more than one account.

We shall securely preserve reported material and reasonably accessible context required by law, limit access to authorized people who need it, and apply the required security safeguards. CyberTipline report contents and required related material generally must be preserved for one year after submission. A longer lawful hold may apply. Material kept as context is not necessarily unlawful, and preservation does not authorize its public distribution.

8. Actions and explanations

We may decline a request, replace or block a reply, freeze a chat, restrict features, remove material, or suspend or terminate an account when reasonably necessary to address a violation, suspected unlawful activity, a security risk, or a legal requirement. Serious risks can require immediate action without a warning. A temporary automatic block can occur before human review.

We shall assess reports and apply restrictions diligently, objectively, and proportionately, considering context, seriousness, repeated conduct, the evidence available, and the rights and safety of affected people. A failed request or automatic flag alone does not justify treating every user as an offender. We terminate repeat infringers’ accounts in appropriate circumstances under the Terms of Service.

Unless disclosure is legally prohibited or would compromise safety, required reporting, or an investigation, we shall explain a content removal or account restriction and provide the appeal route. The explanation will identify the action, relevant content and facts, the rule or legal basis relied on, whether automated detection or decision-making was involved, and, where relevant, the restriction’s scope and duration. We shall provide required explanations when the restriction is imposed. If we decide not to act on a report, we shall explain that decision to the reporter using available contact details.

You must not knowingly fabricate a report, impersonate an affected person, or use reporting to harass someone or suppress lawful material. We may restrict serious or repeated abuse of the reporting process after reviewing the evidence, giving reasons and an opportunity to appeal where permitted. An honest mistake or disagreement with our decision is not report abuse. Knowingly false copyright notices can create legal liability.

9. Appeals and other remedies

You may appeal a content or account decision, including a decision not to act on your report, free of charge through https://www.mirrorchats.com/legal/takedown no later than six months after we notify you of the decision. You may also email support@mirrorchats.com if you cannot use the form. Include the case reference if available, identify the decision, and explain why it was mistaken or provide relevant new information. An account lock does not prevent an appeal.

A human reviewer will consider the appeal and provide a written response with reasons. The appeal outcome will not be based solely on automation. We aim to respond within seven calendar days and shall handle appeals without undue delay, with urgent risks and legal deadlines taking priority. If a decision was mistaken, we shall correct it without undue delay. We may keep a necessary safety restriction in place while the appeal is assessed; an appeal does not require restoration of unlawful content.

Copyright counter-notices have separate requirements and time periods under section 8 of the Terms of Service. A moderation appeal does not replace that process or prevent an otherwise valid counter-notice.

You retain applicable rights to complain to a regulator, use an available out-of-court dispute process, or seek judicial or other lawful remedies. Where the EU Digital Services Act gives you a right to use a certified out-of-court dispute settlement body, that right remains available. These rights do not depend on first exhausting our appeal process. Privacy requests and privacy appeals follow the Privacy Policy at https://www.mirrorchats.com/privacy.

10. Billing and privacy during restrictions

The Terms of Service and Subscription, Cancellation, Refund, and Credits Policy govern billing consequences. If we suspend or terminate all paid access, we shall stop future subscription renewals. Restoring access does not restart billing without your approval. You may cancel by emailing support@mirrorchats.com even if you cannot sign in, and cancellation does not require a reason.

A media request blocked before generation consumes no media credits. Failed media generation restores the credits charged for that generation. Before consuming credits, we shall disclose the charge or a maximum charge for your approval and obtain additional approval before exceeding that maximum. A moderation action does not eliminate a refund or credit restoration owed to you, or waive statutory withdrawal or other consumer remedies. Refunds for ended paid access remain governed by the Terms and subscription policy, including applicable refunds when access ends for reasons other than your violation.

Moderation can involve review of messages, character information, media, and relevant account records by authorized staff and providers. We keep reports, decisions, and evidence for justified moderation, claims, or legal-preservation purposes as described in the Privacy Policy. Removing content from ordinary use can be separate from retaining a restricted evidence copy. Account deletion does not necessarily erase every generated item or provider record, and a retained record is not necessarily anonymous.

A lawful hold may delay deletion of information that must be preserved. It does not require continued payment or remove privacy rights concerning unrelated information. We shall limit preservation to the information and time reasonably necessary under applicable law. Use the public form or email to request review of a hold, removal of private or identifying generated media, or exercise of a privacy right; you do not need to regain account access first.

11. Changes to this policy

The Terms of Service govern material changes and acceptance. We shall notify you of material changes, summarize them, state when they take effect, and request affirmative acceptance before applying them to continued account use. Posting a revision or continued use alone does not establish acceptance of a material change. A change cannot retroactively remove accrued rights or override a more favorable commitment without a lawful agreement.
